Privacy Policy
How we handle your data
What we collect, why, and the rights you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and keep it secure.
Who is responsible for your data
Safety Factor Aviation NZ Limited (registered at Jason Gunn, 114 Flagstaff Terrace, Rd 2, Waipu, 0582, New Zealand) is the data controller for personal information processed through Glidewell. This policy reflects the NZ Privacy Act 2020 and, where they apply, the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
What we collect
- Account data: your email address and authentication details.
- Trip details you enter: routes, dates, traveller context, and preferences you choose to share.
- Billing data: handled by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Usage data: basic, privacy-respecting analytics about how the Service is used.
Why we use it
- To generate and deliver your flight-prep content.
- To run your subscription and send service and (if you opt in) reminder emails.
- To keep the Service secure and improve it.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with processors that help us run the Service — for example Stripe (payments), our cloud database and hosting providers, our email provider for reminders, and the AI model provider that generates your prep. Each is bound to protect your data and use it only on our instructions.
Your rights
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent for reminder emails at any time.
- For California residents: the right to know, delete, correct, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or “share” personal information as defined by the CCPA.
Retention, security & transfers
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires, then delete or anonymise it. We use encryption in transit and reputable processors. Because our providers may be located outside your country, your data may be transferred internationally under appropriate safeguards.
